LTC Bernard House from MSU and UTM's Army's ROTC visited with the juniors today. He was able to answer questions and discuss college opportunities through ROTC.




SIU's Admissions Coordinator, Brittney Gant, visited with the seniors today. She shared information concerning admissions, scholarships, and housing.

Lifetouch Retakes

There was a problem at the lab with the pictures that were taken last month so our order has been delayed. Lifetouch has confirmed that we should receive our pictures any day now.

Just a reminder from 4-7 tonight(October 6) and 9-12 on Friday(October 7) we will be having Parent/Teacher Conference's.

Teen Teachers participated in a workshop today at SCC. They participated in workshops to plan and teach at Maple Grove.




PTO is sponsoring Boo gram fundraiser. Each gram is $1. Extra forms are available though your class room teacher or the office. October 24 is the last day to order them for delivery on October 31, 2022.


Several members of Educators Rising visited Maple Grove on Friday morning. Some of the high school students assisted with reading and math. A couple participated during PE. Another student talked about the differences between the elementary and junior high. Big thanks to the elementary teachers who allowed us to interrupt their class time and gain some experience.





Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville visited Joppa High School today. Students were given information concerning tuition, programs, scholarships, housing, etc. Students also asked questions concerning the transition from high school to college.



Joppa High School CTE students attended the 2022 Construction Career Expo at DuQuion Fair Grounds.





Our 7th & 8th grade Jr Beta members were fortunate enough to attend the Leadership Summit at SEMO in Cape Girardeau the last 2 days. Our students were able to obtain "National Qualifier" status on the projects that were attempted. During this event we were also fortunate enough to obtain the "National Beta Outstanding Leadership School" status.
