ATTENTION!!! Please read. On December 7, 2023 the Agape Basketball game is now an away game. The bus will leave @ 4:15. Saturday, December 9, 2023 all games are CANCELLED. The Jr. High Boy's Basketball practice is cancelled for tonight. They will have practice Thursday and Friday from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM, in the H.S. gym.
Bella Emery was chosen for 1st team all conference in Jr. High Girls Basketball. Congratulations! You represent Joppa-Maple Grove so well by being an outstanding Ranger. We are proud of you!
Dear Families,
As we are entering the winter season, PLEASE make sure your children have coats to wear to school. Elementary students will be following the Child Care Watch Guidelines issued by the State of Illinois. If you need a coat, please let us know. We do have some extra coats we can give to students. Thanks for all you do!

Free Laundry Event!
I know we have been asking for a lot lately, but this project was envisioned by one of our seniors. Please consider helping him collect stuffed toys to give to children in tough situations that are beyond their control. It is a great way to clean out some room for new toys this season.
We had a wonderful Veteran's Day Ceremony this morning. Xander, Jaelyn, and Angel all gave beautiful speeches and the second grade class recited a Veteran's Day poem. The Honor Guard from the American Legion came to retire the flag and brought us a new one. After that, Taps was played. We then invited the Veterans and their relatives at Joppa-Maple Grove to join us for a delicious breakfast donated by the staff of Joppa-Maple Grove. We will be sharing more pictures soon.

Greetings Joppa Family! We are encouraging everyone to wear blue on Wednesday in honor of Graham Hosman.
Jostens will return on November 16, 2023, to finalize graduation items, class rings, and other senior class items. All caps and gowns must be ordered before November 11, 2023, for graduation in 2024.
Some of the juniors and seniors got to experience an SIU football game and the Carbondale tradition of Quatros Pizza after the game. We had such a great day!
One of the best parts of being in one building: the big kids get to be involved in story time, too! The seniors took a break from browsing the Scholastic Book Fair to hear Mr. May read a spooky story, Frankencrayon!
The 6th graders are modeling protein molecules so they can build and compare silk strands.
