Mrs. Rivera's class is currently exploring the Plymouth Colony in Massachusetts. Google Earth is an awesome tool that allows students to take walking tours of different areas around the world. Students are able to take amazing field trips like these without even leaving the building!

On Thursday, November 5th, author William (Billy) Conder visited his alma mater to talk to students about his writing process and his many successes after graduating high school. Mr. Conder is the author of "Stealing Yesterday," a story about a lost love and the tribulations that come with trying to rekindle a love that escaped through the protagonist's fingertips. Thanks to JHS' own Ms. Beth, students were able to ask questions to a local author and feel inspired to work toward publishing their own writing.
