Public Hearing Notice Joppa-Maple Grove Unit School District #38 Board of Education will conduct a Public Hearing on Monday, June 28, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. for the purpose of taking Public Input on the District’s application for waiver of the Illinois School Code 105 ILCS 5/10-20.12(a). Following the hearing, the board will decide whether to take action by submitting an application that would, if approved, allow the District to charge no tuition charge for non-resident students of full time employees. The Public Hearing will take place at Joppa Jr. / Sr. High School Library, 911 Joppa North Avenue, Joppa, Illinois, 62953.

The students had a blast today with all of the blow ups, fire trucks, snow cones, and Dippin’ Dots. We would like to thank the Joppa Fire Department for coming out and cooling us off. Also, a big thank you to Dippin’ Dots for their yummy donation.

Joppa Jr. High Graduation Information: Dress Code: Graduation is considered as a formal event. Students are expected to dress appropriately. This means dress pants or khakis, a collared or dress shirt, or a dress with dress shoes. Jeans, shorts, t-shirts, flip-flops, and tennis shoes are not acceptable. 8th Grade Graduation is tonight Tuesday, May 18th at 7:00 pm. Please be here by 6:30 pm in the library. After graduation, return to the library to pick up your actual diploma. Guests: Each graduate is allowed eight guests. These guests are expected to sit together. Remember masks are required for graduates and their guests at graduation. The doors will open to the public at 6:30 pm.
