Our students have done a fantastic job with their recreation of carbon transfers for mini mes. This method resembles early “crayon portraits,” which were a photographic technique from the 1840-1915 period. Historically, they began as faint photographic images, and artists would then use charcoal or pastel to add extensive handwork, similar to using a black crayon on a carbon copy.

We love it when our students excel! So far this year, we have one student entry into the Google “Doodle for Google” contest. Google celebrated the entry by sending a certificate thanking Derek for sharing his creativity and story. Wish Derek good luck with the contest. Entries will be taken until 12/10.

Each gram comes with a candy cane, and deliveries will be made to classrooms on December 19th.

Pre-K enjoyed celebrating Thanksgiving by making bracelets to tell us about the meaning of Thanksgiving and watching and listening to "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving." We concluded the day by having a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving feast with popcorn, jelly beans, pretzels, and buttered toast! We also enjoyed deciding what flavor our jelly beans were!
