Junior High students were able to listen to a small group of high school students today about the importance of study habits, the importance of creating good habits now, prioritizing, attendance, etc.
We had the privilege of listening to Madison L., Emma H., Troy L., Carly P., Emily R., and Rachelle C., Each of these students were able to speak about their personal experiences and offered their email addresses to the Jr high students. The high school students were chosen by their high school teachers.

The home basketball game vs. Century tonight is cancelled due to weather. There will be no practices or extra-curricular activities scheduled for today.

Basketball update:
The home game against Cobden has been cancelled due to weather. Rescheduling is being evaluated.
Jr. High Boys Basketball practice will be cancelled for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday of this week due to weather concerns. Their next practice will be Monday, February 15th at 5 pm at the High School gym, weather permitting.
Each home athlete will be allowed to bring TWO spectators. Students will report these names to Mrs. Lowery before each home game. Temperatures will be checked at the door. Masks will be worn at all times inside the building. The games will continue to be streamed via Facebook Live from our school's page.

IHSA and IDPH regulations regarding COVID-19 are requiring us not to allow any fans into our gym to watch basketball games during the current state of the pandemic. Students who met their AR goals for both first and second quarters enjoyed a movie in the gym this afternoon, along with popcorn, chocolate, and juice boxes. Tyleigh Scott was the lucky winner of a book set based on the movie the students watched. Congratulations to all students on their hard work reaching their AR goals!
