Public Hearing Notice
Joppa-Maple Grove Unit School District #38 Board of Education will conduct a Public Hearing on Monday, June 28, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. for the purpose of taking Public Input on the District’s application for waiver of the Illinois School Code 105 ILCS 5/10-20.12(a). Following the hearing, the board will decide whether to take action by submitting an application that would, if approved, allow the District to charge no tuition charge for non-resident students of full time employees.
The Public Hearing will take place at Joppa Jr. / Sr. High School Library, 911 Joppa North Avenue, Joppa, Illinois, 62953.

A reminder for all students. Please bring your chrome books in to your teachers if you have not done so yet. Thanks

Flashback to 1954 in Joppa history. Thanks to Pete Duley for sharing this Joppa HS flashback moment.

The students had a blast today with all of the blow ups, fire trucks, snow cones, and Dippin’ Dots. We would like to thank the Joppa Fire Department for coming out and cooling us off. Also, a big thank you to Dippin’ Dots for their yummy donation.

We would like to give a big “Shout Out” to Rachelle Cox, Josh McGinnis, Carly Peck, Emily Reames, and Bryan Walquist for their help with the day’s activities. We couldn’t have pulled it off without you.

Thanks to Lacey Wright for her work with AR day. Our students appreciated it.

Congrats to Johnnie Owens, Hunter Kreuter, and Candace Thweatt for leading the Science projects for our students. Also many thanks to LaFarge for awarding our students their plaques. We appreciated it.

Students who met their AR goals for 3 out of 4 quarters were rewarded today with putt putt golf, tug of war, disc golf, and other fun activities. Congratulations on all your hard work!
