Everyone is having a great time at the SIU Saluki game! We are so happy we can give these opportunities to our students.

Good morning! I wanted to send a clarifying message. YES, parents and other members of the community are invited to purchase the $10 tickets. Any student of JMG is welcome to ride the bus, but if the student is 11 or under, parents will need to either follow us up or meet us there. There is no limit as far as I know on how many tickets one family can purchase. I would love for us to fill up our section, so invite all your friends and family members- everyone can get a $10 ticket and sit with us.

Dear Families and Staff,
We have a very special opportunity to attend a St. Louis Cardinals game on Sunday, April 21, 2024. The Cardinals are playing the Milwaukee Brewers at 1:15 pm. We will have a bus that students can ride to the game. All tickets are $10 each. We want to provide this opportunity to our students while also strengthening our community. The cost to attend this event is minimal and the price includes free ice cream before the game, a Cardinals Bird hat, a hot dog and drink, and students 15 and under will be able to run the bases. Students 12 and over will be able to attend without a parent or family chaperone. Parents and other friends are welcome to join us, but we will not have room on the bus for parents and families, so we are asking that you drive your vehicles or carpool with other parents. We will be leaving from the school building on Sunday, April 21 at 8:15 AM. We want to make sure we are early so we get the hat and free ice cream. The tickets include a hot dog and drink, but there will be other concessions for purchase if you choose. The bus will not be stopping on the way there or the way back for food, so students are encouraged to bring snacks for the bus ride. We will also provide a light sack dinner for those students that request one.
There is a form being sent home with all the students and we will have extras in the front office. Money is due with the form and all forms and money need to be turned into Ms. Wear by March 6. I am so excited that we have this fun activity and can all go as a community. GO CARDS! I will be sending home a permission slip for all parents to sign after I receive the initial information.

Tonight is our first Jr High Volleyball home game. Come out and support our athletes. We will have updated concession stand options. Tomorrow is our second home Maple Grove Jets Basketball game. We play MES. Come cheer on our Jets and Rangers!!!

Mark your calendars for another super fun night at Joppa-Maple Grove. We are going to be having a Family Fun Night on March 12 from 5-7:30. We will be having a spaghetti supper for all families. The meal is free if you take the family survey. If you have already taken it, you will get a free meal. If you haven't, we will have Chromebooks set up for parents to take the survey in the main hallway and then head to the free supper. All events will be free (except the books you purchase). Come out and connect with your school community. We hope to see you there! Here is the link if you want to go ahead and take the survey: https://survey.5-essentials.org/illinois/?target_name=parent

Dear Families,
We are having some problems with parents and families blocking the alley for the buses. Please do not use the alley/road that was built for the buses. We need all families to park in the front parking lot (the one in front of the gym lobby) if they are parking. If not, please follow the route that was designed for dropping off and picking up students. Also, this is just a reminder to not use the new parking lot. That is for student parking only and it is not a drive-thru route. Please follow the expectations so that all of our students are safe and the buses can get the children to and from home. Please see the map attached and contact us for any questions.

We will be conducting pre-K and kindergarten registration on Friday, March 8th, from 8:30-2:30

Ms. Clark and Student Council put on a great dance with the help of Ms. Cohoon, Ms. Schloss, Ms. Jesse, Ms. Morgan, Ms. Wear, Karon Hooks, Sally Lang, and other parents chipping in. I love our community and I was having too much fun to take pictures, but I did grab one.
