Basic Ag Science is learning about plants. This week they learned how to create a mock Herbarium Specimen. They had to bring in leaves, identify them, and create their own page. Once they dry, the specimens will be displayed in the Ag hallway. #elevate38





The JHS Educators Rising is relaunching the fall food drive from November 18-22. Students have one week to fill their class box for a chance to win a pizza party. Come join the fun as we unveil a new sign for the "Jets Playground" and recognize those that invested their time and money into this project. Congrats to the Jr. Rangers on a sweep of Christian Fellowship at Draffenville, Kentucky. The boys team won 43-14 with Kenley Harris scoring 21 points, while Bentley Blackburn added 18. The girls won 34-13 with Bella Emery and Libby Lewis scoring 12 points each. #Elevate38

Two big wins for the Jr. Rangers on Friday night over Northside Baptist. Bella Emery led the Lady Rangers to a 41-17 win with a game-high 21 points, The boys team won 47-21 behind 22 points from, Kenley Harris and 17 from Bentley Blackburn. #Elevate38


The Joppa Jr. High boys basketball team finished third in Saturday's Early Bird Tournament at Egyptian. Bentley Blackburn led the way with 25 points, while Kenley Harris had a double-double with 17 points and 10+ rebounds. #Elevate38

Third Grade JMG students held a mock presidential election on Friday, Nov. 1st. We learned how to register to vote, check in voters, and count ballots. Ms. Schloss got to take a group to serve on State Senator Dale Fowler's Youth Advisory Council in Marion on Wednesday. The students got to hear from a variety of leaders in Southern Illinois and took part in a mock legislation where they got to create, present, and vote on bills they created!
